C is for Commentary: Link Blogging!

by Josh Crawley

We’re going to do some link blogging this week! I know what you’re saying. “You’re still moving, Josh?!” Honestly, I actually left my copy of Previews at the store and I really didn’t feel like driving back just to get it to write a column. Let’s see what I can find and babble about this week (as Dog The Bounty Hunter plays in the background).

Be sure to take a peek at the The Illustrious Omnibus of Super Powers. While an argument could be made about, say, Iron Fist’s placement not with the Mastery of Martial Arts, it’s still pretty epic.

by Josh Crawley

Wow, Witchblade turns 15 this year?! Some days it feels like yesterday I first spotted issue 7 on the new comic book rack, with that amazing Michael Turner cover. Those were “the days.”

Fifth Degree: Previews #264

by Josh Crawley

It’s that time of the month already?! Let’s get to it!

Artifacts Vol. 01 TPB

Artifacts Volume 1 Trade Paperback.

Less than $10 (USD, SRP) for four issues of this gorgeous, awesome event from Top Cow? It’s a little mind-boggling, I know. Ron Marz is on his game, and Michael Broussard’s artwork has never looked better, in part thanks to the amazing contributions of Sal Regla, Rick Basaldua, and Sunny Gho.

Fifth Degree: Ron Marz’s Artifacts #1

Artifacts #1

by Josh Crawley

I’m sure some people (mostly Westfield Comics retail store customers and employees), are getting tired of me raving about and pushing some of the more recent Top Cow Universe comic books. Well, until more people start listening to me and actually trying them out instead of holding onto vague, if not out-of-date, perceptions of the publisher’s products, I’m going to keep preaching.

Roger’s Comic Ramblings: Musing about C2E2

I could've sworn KC was here

by Roger Ash

This past weekend, May 16-18, was the first C2E2 (Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo). The event took place at Chicago’s McCormick Place and was organized by Reed Exhibitions, the same people behind the wildly successful New York Comic-Con. Expectations for the event were high due to Reed’s past successes. How did things go? Well, come along and I’ll fill you in as a fan and worker as I was in the Westfield booth this weekend. But first, a slight diversion.
