Jonathan Hickman and R. B. Silva’s
Powers of X #1 (of 6)

Highlights This Week: Writer Jonathan Hickman continues his revolutionary new direction for the X-Men in this week’s Powers of X #1 (of 6)! How important is it to know that Powers of X is actually pronounced “Powers of 10”? Well, Hickman states that “Powers of X is a play on a movie that’s about a constantly expanding scale… times one, times two, times three,” in regards to mutants’ powers and, most importantly, reveals the secret past, present and future of mutantkind, changing the way you look at every X-Men story before and after! Both Hickman mini-series are supposed reposition the X-Men in the Marvel Universe and are crafted to work as a series of reveals and revelations where each issue of House of X that follows Powers of X,  and vice versa, should make you reinterpret the issue you had previously read! Deep! Also from Marvel, the “Challenge of the Ghost Riders” begins in Avengers #22; Fantastic Four #12 stages the latest Hulk Vs Thing fight (during Ben and Alicia’s honeymoon); and the last batch of Star Wars one-shots  begins with the Star Wars Age of Resistance Special #1! From DC Comics, Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo’s Batman: The Last Knight On Earth #2 (of 3); Scott Snyder and Jock’s Batman Who Laughs #7 (of 7); and Batman Secret Files #2 is a “City of Bane” tie-in! And, from Image Comics, Monstress #24; Paper Girls #30 (the Series Finale); Spawn #299 and The Walking Dead #193 2nd Printing!
