New In-Store Releases For Wednesday, March 20, 2019!

Highlights This Week: Marvel Comics releases two important Spider-Man related mini-series this week! First up, Spider-Man: Life Story is a six-issue mini-series that supposes what would have happened if Peter Parker aged in real time! It encompasses the entire history of Spider-Man from beginning to end, set against the key events of each decade! The first issue by writer Chip Zdarsky and artist Mark Bagley is set in 1966, and Peter Parker must determine where his power and responsibility truly lies as the nation becomes embroiled in the Vietnam War! Then, Spider-Man: City of War #1 (of 6) is based on the hit Playstation 4 game, “Marvel’s Spider-Man”, that finally finds Spidey with the opportunity to put Wilson Fisk behind bars for good. But, removing the Kingpin only means a new threat, the mysterious crime lord called Mister Negative who threatens all that Peter holds dear, including his beloved Aunt May, and his former girlfriend, current Daily Bugle investigative reporter, Mary Jane Watson! Also from Marvel, Avengers #17, Avengers No Road Home #6 (of 10), Captain Marvel #3, Guardians of the Galaxy #3, Immortal Hulk #15, Meet The Skrulls #2 (of 5), Miles Morales Spider-Man #4, Savage Sword of Conan #3, Thor #11, Venom #12 and Wolverine: Infinity Watch #2 (of 5)! From DC Comics, the “Knightmares” continue in Batman #67 with guest artist Lee Weeks, the team comes face to face with their future selves in Part 2 of “Sixth Dimension” in Justice League #20, the truth is revealed in Brian Michael Bendis’ Naomi #3, and Cyborg hits puberty in Teen Titans Go! #33! And, Image Comics highlights include, Ed Brubaker’s Criminal #3, Greg Rucka’s Lazarus Risen #1, Skottie Young’s Middlewest #5, Marjorie M. Liu’s Monstress #21 and Stjepan Sejic’s Sunstone Volume 6!
