Well, as usual, a lot of the comics industry is taking the holiday season off from releasing new product. But a few die-hards are releasing NEW STUFF TODAY so you don’t have to go into total four-color withdrawal this holiday season!

Here’s the rundown. Don’t blink.

Green Arrow War Of The Clans: DC Essential Edition TPB

DC Comics is shipping 4 items — all collections: Batman Beyond Volume 4: Target Batman TPB, Green Arrow War Of The Clans: DC Essential Edition TPB, Nightwing Volume 7: The Bleeding Edge TPB, and Superman: The Rebirth Deluxe Edition Volume 3 HC.

Marvel Comics is also shipping 4 items, but all of them have variant covers:

Fantastic Four #5

Fantastic Four #5 (12 covers), Superior Spider-Man #1 (6 covers), Uncanny X-Men #7 (3 covers), and X-Force #1 (8 covers). For a total of 29 covers to choose from. Granted, most of them are special issues:

If Marvel didn’t change its numbering every year, Fantastic Four would actually be #650 and this is a special event — the Wedding of Ben Grimm and his long-time love Alicia Masters (Mazel tov!), and the book is now 72-pages (and $7.99).

Superior Spider-Man #1

Superior Spider-Man #1 is a Spider-Geddon tie-in and features Doctor Octopus as he attempts (again) to become the Superior Spider-Man! Warning: This issue may be both intense and heartbreaking. Make sure you hang onto your handkerchief from the FF wedding!

Uncanny X-Men #7

Uncanny X-Men #7 continues to be Disassembled. Sounds painful, and may lead to explosions! Watch for the return of an X-Man … and maybe a return to The Age of Apocalypse? Aw, that trick never works! Hey, only 3 covers here!…

X-Force #1

But X-Force #1 makes up for that with a total of 8 covers. Cable is still dead, and the original team (Domino, Cannonball, Shatterstar, Boom Boom and Warpath) must hunt down the murderer. But is Cable really dead?

Bone Parish Vol. 1 TPB

Wrapping Up: BOOM! Studios is releasing Bone Parish #5 (2 covers) and the Bone Parish Vol. 1 TPB. Dark Horse Comics is offering Hellboy and the B.P.R.D. 1956 #2 (of 5). Dynamite Entertainment has Mars Attacks #3 with 9 different covers! IDW is releasing Go-Bots #2 (3 covers) and Marvel Action Avengers #1 (5 covers). And Image has Die! Die! Die! #6 (only 1 cover: Sniff!) and Man-Eaters #4 (2 covers).
