(W/A) Al Williamson The Al Williamson Archives grants unprecedented access to this master storyteller's unseen work. Culled from his extensive private files, each volume of this series will feature unpublished sketches, preliminary artwork and pieces the artist created for his personal enjoyment. Williamson's fondness for fantasy and SF is showcased in this first volume. It collects work created throughout his career: impeccably rendered dinosaurs, barbarians, spacemen and their craft, even a few sexy maidens. It also features a partially inked Xenozoic tale, previously unpublished newspaper strips, and unused Western comics pages from the '50s. [Al Williamson]
(A) Al Williamson As those lucky few who visited him will attest, Al Williamson loved to share his personal art with his guests. With that same spirit, through the Al Williamson Archives, fans, illustrators, and the general public can enjoy his wealth of unpublished work for themselves. This installment, featuring SF and fantasy illustrations, spans the entirety of Williamson's 50-year career, including rough sketches, abandoned comic pages and partially completed drawings to fully rendered studies of characters familiar to fans of EC Comics, Secret Agent X-9, and Flash Gordon.
Like sports, the victor is he who wants it more. Unlike sports, the loser earns extinction. Mankind has fought for survival over countless millennia, but nothing has threatened humanity's existence like the murderous Alien scourge. While some have tried to use the creatures' deadly abilities to serve their own selfish ends, no one can dance with the devil, and ultimately only one species must prevail. To that end, men have turned their own lethal instincts and cold intellect against the monsters, creating engineered plagues, cybernetic fighting suits, and even bogus android aliens, but survival rides not on technology, but on the primacy of the most deep-rooted, feral instincts. Nearly four hundred story pages in full color, some never before collected! Creators include horror novelist Chet Williamson, as well as John Arcudi, Doug Mahnke, Jon Wagner, Ronnie del Carmen, and many more!
