I've found that in Tibetan and Mexican cultures, death is repeatedly presented in a brilliant and compelling manner. Maybe it makes it easier to come to grips with if we can look at it and not be afraid. Skulls are beautiful to me and a great tattoo image. Sugar Skulls are great to tattoo because you can mix all kinds of fun symbols and images in a traditionally tough tattoo.
