It’s been a while since I’ve reviewed anything here, so let’s take a look at a graphic novel I read recently; Underground by Jeff Parker and Steve Lieber. This book collects the 5-issue Image miniseries plus the original short story starring Underground‘s protagonist, Wesley Fischer, by Lieber from the Four Letter Worlds anthology, and a look at how the art was produced for the series.

Rex the little fox is taken from his original home by a UFO. Many interesting and venturesome happenings occur on Rex’s adventure. Just seeing that adorable little fox drawn so well makes me want to read this book. Hop on and make this a good read!

Love/hate relationships are strange. For many years I had one with working conventions for the various publishers and companies that I worked for: Eclipse Comics, Image Comics, McFarlane Toys, Todd McFarlane Productions, and IDW Publishing. The Love/Hate part was working the booth.
Working the booth started with making sure everything got to the convention site, dealing with what didn’t, setting up the booth and displays, greetings and meetings through the convention, selling merchandise, doing panels, and tearing down the booth when the show was done.
In his career in comics, Ron Marz has written such books as Marvel’s Silver Surfer, DC’s Green Lantern and Ion, Dark Horse’s Star Wars: Darth Maul, and CrossGen’s Mystic and Scion. Recently, he has written a number of Top Cow titles, which are published by Image, including Witchblade, First Born, Angelus, and Magdalena. This month he begins Artifacts, a series that will change the Top Cow Universe. Westfield’s Roger Ash recently spoke with Ron about this series.
