Saturday is International Read Comics Outdoors Day!

The concept is fairly simple: This Saturday, August 28 the people who organized International Read Comics Outdoors Day are asking that everyone take an hour or two out of their day (also the birthday of Jack “King” Kirby, incidentally) to read a comic book or graphic novel in a public place: a park bench, a beach, a bus, while eating lunch at work, the front steps of your local library (they do ask, however, that you be mindful of local loitering laws).

Let strangers see you reading your favorite comic. Have someone take your picture and send it to the organizers at: readcomicsinpublic@gmail.com

Be out. Be proud. Be literate. ‘Nuff  said!
