R.I.P. Steve Ditko

Legendary artist Steve Ditko died at the age of 90 on June 29. His projects ranged from co-creating Spider-Man, Doctor Strange and Squirrel Girl at Marvel Comics to Hawk & Dove, and The Creeper at DC Comics. While working for Charlton Comics in the ’60s and ’70s, Ditko also created The Question and the Blue Beetle who, after Charlton became acquired by DC, would later be highly influential upon the characters of Rorschach and Nite Owl in one of the most highly-regarded comics work of all-time, Watchmen. A recluse in his latter years, Ditko will be remembered as one of the founding fathers of modern comics. He will be missed.
