The Kick-Ass Movie, based on the Marvel Comic (now in a handy hardcover collection) by writer Mark Millar and artist John Romita Jr., opens nation wide in theaters this Friday, April 16.

The movie is directed by Matthew Vaughn and co-produced by Vaughn and actor Brad Pitt. (yes…THAT Brad Pitt.)The film depicting a real life teenager trying to become a superhero has garnered positive reviews since opening in the UK last month but has weathered some criticism for its use of profanity and violence.
