We hinted at the possibility recently and now its official! On Saturday, October 29 the Westside Westfield Comics location will be welcoming artists Jeff Moy and Phil Moy to sign copies of their new IDW Publishing book Star Trek/Legion of Super-Heroes #1 (of 6). The duo will be on hand from 1 – 4pm to sign and showoff the first issue of their futuristic mashup and we hope to have plenty of copies on hand but, as always, it wouldn’t hurt to pre-order a copy or two to guarantee availablity! If you’re a Trek or Legion fan (or BOTH for that matter) you won’t want to miss it!!!

UPDATE: Wednesday, October 28 is also the release of DC Comics’ Legion: Secret Origin #1 (of 6) and whoever buys a copy of the first issue gets a Free Promo Legion Flight Ring while supplies last, so it will definitely be LEGION WEEK here at Westfield Comics!!!

Willy Street Fair 2011!

Do you miss our sidewalk sales of old? Then join us at (and just outside) our Willy Street location for our first ever Willy Street Fair this Sunday, September 18, from 11:45 a.m. until 7 p.m. We’re going to have boxes and boxes of severely inexpensive back issues, and we’ll be marking down plenty of graphic novels, too!

While we won’t have a presence on the street for the warm-up fair Saturday afternoon and evening with the other vendors, we will be extending our hours later Saturday night and earlier Sunday morning for the festivities! There will also be a parade at 11 a.m. Sunday morning!

Please note: due to the festival, our parking lot won’t be available for parking, but there is a lot of street parking along East Main Street. We’re also just a block from Madison Metro stops 1190 (Westbound) and 1959 (Eastbound) on Jenifer Street (routes 4 and 7 on the weekends).
